2021年7月13日更新：更新了接受Apple Pay的金融机构列表。基本上绝大部分的加拿大银行 / 信用社的信用卡都可使用Apple Pay了。有Apple Watch的朋友在Apple Watch上使用Apple Pay，则会有效增加刷AmEx卡的机率。

除了便捷外，Apple Pay的安全性能也做的很好，iPhone上不直接存储信用卡信息，而是一个由卡组织发放加密的一个token，存放在iPhone的独立安全芯片中，用它代替磁条上的信息。用户数据加密存储在硬件中，数据传输也是加密的，支付时要指纹或面部ID识别认证。只有认证通过的时候，iPhone才允许你利用NFC读取token出来。假设token泄漏，也无法逆向还原出信用卡信息。
Apple Pay的绑卡是在线的，你需要首先在iPhone输入信用卡信息，Apple Pay把你的信用卡信息拿到卡组织处验证，卡组织验证通过后，将token发送到Apple Pay，存放在iPhone的安全芯片中【关于Apple Pay的技术介绍，多谢百度百科】。
