【本文首发于2020年3月】为了应对新冠疫情，加航推出了一些新的便民灵活措施：

4月30日5月31日6月30日 7月31日8月31日9月30日之前订的里程票可免费在aircanada.com网上取消。里程和税费都会全额退给客户 - 出票日期在2020年
9月30日12月31日之前的全程未用机票，以及原始旅行日期在2020年3月1日至2021年9月30日12月31日期间的机票，可免费更改一次。如果是通过加航订的机票，并需要取消的话，可选择将机票转成长期有效的加航电子券，或转换成附赠65% bonus的Aeroplan。 - 加航会修改2021年Altitude会员的续期标准
- 如果用户在2020年1月后购买过加航的机票，但是由于COVID-19疫情的原因取消了航班，那也可以让Aeroplan重新reinstate你的过期里程（ If you purchased a trip with Air Canada with travel commencing anytime since January 2020 and you had to cancel your travel plans, we'll be happy to reinstate all of your Aeroplan Miles which have expired since the beginning of this year）。
2020年4月7日更新：加航关于Altitude会员的新举措：
- Altitude精英会员身份自动延期到2021年底（We will automatically extend whichever Altitude status you currently hold through the end of 2021. Should you reach a higher status before the end of this year, you'll enjoy it upon qualification and through 2021, as well）
- 和家人或朋友分享Altitude精英会员身份（When you, and those closest to you, are ready to take to the skies once again, we want you to be able to share your special privileges. Since your Altitude status is secure through 2021, whichever status you achieve by the end of 2020, you will be able to gift that status to a friend or loved one）
- 在家中继续获得Aeroplan AQM（While you're at home, you can still earn Aeroplan Miles, progress towards Altitude status, and make a difference with your miles. From now until April 30, for every five Aeroplan Miles you donate to a charity engaged in fighting the COVID-19 crisis, you'll receive one Altitude Qualifying Mile – up to a maximum of 25,000 AQM – all of which count towards 2021 status for you and a loved one）

2020年5月22日更新：多谢“极地泰格”提供信息。从2020年6月1日开始，如果在2020年6月30日之前购买了旅行时间在2020年3月1日至2021年6月30日间加航机票的旅客想退票/改行程的话，他们将会在现有政策以外得到2个新的选项（消息来源）：
- 一张加航Travel Voucher，无过期时间且可transferable
- 或将机票剩余价值转换成为Aeroplan并得到65%的bonus
不得不说加航果然是有人才啊，这卖里程的方式真是多彩多姿，一波接着一波。聚沙觉得可以考虑先用AmEx白金买机票（拿4X积分=8%返现，且可使用每年的$200 Travel Credit）然后换成Aeroplan，就相当于打折买分了【友情提示，Aeroplan不贬值是不可能的了】。。。
2020年6月1日更新：多谢“DINO”提供信息。在加航网站订的飞机票现在就可以操作退票成Aeroplan里程了，点“Cancel”时会出来3个选项，其中一个就是“Convert to Aeroplan Miles”。转换时需要扣除sales tax，基本上如果退票金额是$600则可转换成31750 Aeroplan；如果退票金额是$700则可转换成37040 Aeroplan【相当于$0.018898兑换成1 Aeroplan】。需要等待up to 4周收到里程。
2020年6月3日更新：多谢“极地泰格”提供通过退票方式得Aeroplan的亲测结果。2020年6月2日温尼伯时间10:47am，“极地泰格”通过加航官网购买的refundable的卡尔加里-温哥华机票，需要等到购票之后约26个小时后才能有退Aeroplan里程的选项。要想拿Aeroplan的话，需要在三个选项中选“Convert the remaining value on your booking into Aeroplan Miles”。$177.58可以换成9390 Aeroplan里程【相当于$0.0189兑换成1 Aeroplan】，的确有65%的bonus。友情提示，现在用AmEx Platinum的“Double Double”优惠（点击查看）购买机票，还能有8%的cash back。
注意：退票前一定要先用Aeroplan号登录加航的网站。如果你不先登录的话，同样的机票换到的里程会少很多。
我们再来看另外一张测试机票，纽约-多伦多【特意测试的美国机票】的退票情况。登录后$222.92可以换成11790 Aeroplan里程【相当于$0.0189兑换成1 Aeroplan】，如果不登录的话只有10720 Aeroplan里程。
2020年6月8日更新：不少本站读者都有加航Altitude Prestige 25K或以上的会员。如果你用Aeroplan号和密码登陆你的Altitude账户（官网地址），则在“My Altitude” => “Promotion Codes”下能找到加航给你的促销码。目前有一个网上购买加航免税商品，$100以上可减$25并提供500 Aeroplan bonus。注意：需要乘坐加航的国际航班才能购买，需要在起飞96小时前下单，商品届时会在你旅行时送到你的座位上。
2021年4月7日更新：多谢“极地泰格”提供信息。2021年5月31日之前订的里程票可免费在aircanada.com网上取消。里程和税费都会全额退给客户。加航Altitude精英会员身份自动延期到2022年底。精英会员可在2021年初选择精英会员福利。所有2020年会员获得的未用的Priority Reward vouchers将会延期到2022年10月。所有Aeroplan点在2022年1月31日前不会过期。具体官网信息可点击查看。
2021年4月13日更新：多谢“i总”提供信息。在成功从加拿大政府拿到资助后，加航终于开始向由于COVID-19病毒肺炎疫情而航班被取消的乘客全额退款了。官方退款的申请链接：https://www.aircanada.com/refundrequest/?lang=en-CA。之前退款拿到加航Travel Voucher / Aeroplan转点 / eCoupon的乘客，如果想拿到现金退款，也可以提出申请。具体情况请点击查看。
2022年6月27日更新：加航又一次延期了他们免费更改里程票的时限【目测之后不会再度延期了】。2022年7月5日前订的Aeroplan里程票在7月5日前可无限次免费更改，但在2022年7月6日后只能免费改一次。2021年9月30日前订的Aeroplan里程票可免费取消，但2021年10月1日后订的里程票就需要付取消手续费了。所有的Aeroplan点在2022年9月30日前不会过期。
